This interior design project, located in Hurlingham, Johannesburg, is a stunning renovation blending modern sophistication with African influences. We aimed to create a fresh, contemporary space while embracing the beauty of African style. The clients requested a stylish, updated interior with rich textures, bold patterns, and an elegant color palette that celebrates African culture in a sophisticated way.
The dining room features a standout 3D concrete tile wall, adding texture and depth to the space. The custom-designed dining chairs are hand-embroidered with unique African patterns, reflecting the essence of Afrochic design. Above the table, a one-of-a-kind handmade pendant light crafted from recycled glass in a beautiful green hue serves as a striking statement piece.
In the lounge, custom-made statement furniture pairs seamlessly with vibrant colours and bold patterns, complemented by carefully curated striking pieces of art that reflect both contemporary and African influences. This space exemplifies our commitment to creating modern interiors with a personalized touch, offering a perfect balance of style and comfort.
The breakfast nook, situated within the sleek, modern kitchen, features an unconventional round concrete table in a rust colour. Paired with eye-catching statement chairs from local South African designers, this space enhances the home’s unique design while supporting local design.
